Challenge

CNAR had been operating on a Wix-based website that no longer met the needs of a growing national regulatory network. As the organization expanded its membership and programming, the platform was limiting their ability to manage content, deliver accessible experiences, and support integrations like event scheduling.

The challenge was to migrate all existing content to a new platform while improving structure, performance, and usability. The site had to meet accessibility standards, improve stakeholder experience, and ensure compatibility with future integrations.

EspioLabs was brought in to rebuild CNAR's online platform from the ground up, using WordPress as a scalable, secure, and standards-driven solution.

Designing for Structure, Authority, and Usability

Rather than rebrand CNAR, our goal was to build on its trusted identity and elevate how that identity is presented online. The existing colour palette and logo were preserved while the visual structure and user pathways were fully rethought.

The design system emphasizes clarity, accessibility, and professionalism, supporting CNAR's mission of regulatory transparency and cross-sector collaboration.

Colours

CNAR's colour palette was chosen to support institutional credibility and public accessibility, with strong contrast ratios and simple layouts that support WCAG accessibility.

This approach preserved brand recognition while aligning the digital presence with modern standards for usability and visual hierarchy.

  • GeorgiaPrimary Font

Georgia is a widely recognized serif typeface known for its elegance, readability, and timeless appearance. Designed by Matthew Carter for Microsoft in 1993, the font was created specifically for on-screen readability while maintaining a classic, professional style. Its larger letterforms, clear spacing, and strong contrast make it highly legible across both digital and print formats. Georgia is commonly used in websites, reports, branding materials, and editorial content because it conveys sophistication, reliability, and tradition while remaining modern and approachable.

  • RobotoSecondary Font

Roboto is a modern sans-serif typeface developed by Google for the Android operating system. Known for its clean, geometric structure and highly readable appearance, Roboto combines a professional feel with a friendly, approachable style. Its balanced letterforms and open curves make it effective across digital interfaces, websites, mobile applications, and print materials. The font was designed to provide clarity and consistency at various screen sizes, making it one of the most widely used typefaces in contemporary UI and brand design.
